OSIM Tongue Twisters

I've had a lovely weekend. Saturday saw us eating our favourite 'wan tan mee' for breakfast at our favourite shop. Next we spent half a day at Jaya Jusco, mainly to buy my MIL a birthday gift (we settled on a Sanyo CD/CDRW player). Met one of my former patient there who works as a security personnel. He gently reminded me that next week is 'Mother's Day'!!! Aargh!

I totally forgot about it. I had secretly (for many years...just didn't have the cash!) wanted to get my wife a Corelle dining set. She has had her eyes on a set ever since I married her. This time, Jusco had an offer for the dining set. Alas, she didn't like the design of the dining ware. Actually, I didn't like it all that much either. How come only 'not so nice' designs are always on offer? Hmm....

So, it's back to the drawing board...gotta wrack my brain on what to get her. 6 more days to think about it.

In the lobby, we were 'caught' by the DJ promoting OSIM massage equipments. He was a young energetic and hairy guy! Initially we were just asked to answer some really simple questions (does not need IQ more than 50) and we were rewarded with little Osim pens as gifts. Next, we were 'caught' again to play a game. This time there were 5 of us and we have to repeat, in turn, a series of tongue twisters in 30 seconds.

I really can't remember the entire sequence of the tongue twister. Something like "Shape up, slim down, tone up...something something, Zap, Zap, OSIM, U-Zap!"

The first lady (a malay lady) managed '8'. The second fumbled and tumbled to just '5'. My wife was next and she managed '8' repetitions. My turn was next. Happy to say I scored '10'! The guy next to me managed '9' (that too, but substituting 'zap' with 'zip'...it was hilarious). My reward? A digital thermometer, now given to my brother and wife. All in all, it was fun. It's also the first time we actually did something like this in public. A spot of glamour there. Heh heh!

I've had a lovely weekend indeed.

It's back to work today. My 'anger' on Friday has disappeared. Many in church who read my blog shared my sentiments. Time to forget the past and move on.

Long day today...geriatric clinic followed by cardiac clinic in the afternoon. :-)
