FIVE QUEENS

While holidaying at PD last weekend, we were visually entertained by a group of ...well...men, who happened to be staying in the same hotel as well.

The hospital's wireless internet service is busted, otherwise I would have loaded some pics I took of them, cladestinely, now safely kept in my notebook. Still, their antics reminded me of the movie 'The adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert'.

Actually the five of them represented a spectrum of men I see these days. On one end of the spectrum is the extreme feminism and the on the other end is the manly type. Actually none of them actually reached the manly extreme, the most manly of the lot still had a lot of hand gestures and body language suggestive of feminity.

I actually enjoyed watching them. The feminine one was a rather well endowed guy( gurl now?) who I believed had undergone the knife for gender-alteration surgery. She and another similarly inclined friend walked with extravagant hip swaying locomotion that would put any true woman to shame. On the other extreme, the most manly of the lot, was well endowed in the muscle department and sported a 'Clark Hatch' face towel (no doubt flicked from his gym I suppose). The adage 'If you have it, flaunt it' obviously was not foreign to him.

They mostly kept to themselves, walking to the extreme end of the man-made bay at The Corus Hotel and sun-tanning themselves. I have no doubt they had a grand time. It's like a sisters-day-out thingy. Definitely good for bonding and bi**hing!

I believe that everyone has the choice on how to live their lives. Ultimately we are accountable to only our Maker. I do not condemn anyone for being 'different'. Variety is the essence of life. And I think my holiday was made a little more colorful by the 5 queens. :-)
