Thesis update

The cardiac clinic just got over and it's been another disappointing day. Even though I was at the clinic early, most of the patients were females rather than male patients. Though it's been know world wide that more males suffer from heart diseases compared to premenopausal females, I think, at least here in this hospital, the reverse is true!

Anyway, after a long day in the clinic, I only managed to recruit a additional 11 patients! That's a far cry from my target of at least 20 patients per clinic. Sigh! Actually I have seen more than that number of patients, it's just quite a number of them did not fulfill the criteria for inclusion in my study and therefore did not qualify.

Still, I am happy, at least the number is moving ever so slowly towards my final target. I don't think I can reach my target by end of next month and might have to extend till June; something I am not too happy about. :-(

Anyway, the grand total now stands at 374 patients. Another 126 more to go.
